Keep the Enduro 3 if battery life is your main reason to upgrade. Enduro 4 retains a 1.4-inch solar MIP display and the same headline battery claims. Its clearer upgrades are 64 GB storage, faster maps and the ComfortFit band.

Enduro 4 doubles storage from 32 GB to 64 GB. Garmin also claims 50% more mapping RAM and up to 30% faster map panning. These are manufacturer specifications; we have not measured map performance or GPS accuracy.

Both watches list up to 36 smartwatch days, or 90 with solar, and 60 hours at maximum GPS accuracy, or 90 with solar. The 320-hour solar claims use extended GPS settings. They are not continuous maximum-accuracy ratings.
