The Garmin Forerunner 70 ($249 as tested) is the brand’s latest entry-level running watch. It’s basically a Garmin Forerunner 170 with fewer smart features and slightly less impressive under-the-hood tech for $50 cheaper. However, the Forerunner 70 is positively bursting with training insights, recovery advice, and race-day metrics for runners. It also boasts a bright AMOLED screen, a comfortable case, and impressive battery life. I’m a newbie runner , and I wore the Garmin Forerunner 70 for two weeks.
