If you ride on the road, even where traffic is light, you are likely familiar with Garmin’s Varia RTL515 radar system. The device combines a rear light with a Varia radar into a compact package. When paired to a compatible cycling computer from Wahoo, Garmin, or Hammerhead the Varia shows a live feed on your screen of vehicles (or any object moving faster than your current speed) approaching from behind. The Garmin Varia is so widely used and functions so well that Garmin essentially cornered the on-the-bike radar market.
