Cycling radar is one of those tech tools that feels like a small luxury until you use it. For years, Garmin’s radar systems were the default choice and gold standard, with the Garmin Varia RTL515 serving as the benchmark against which all other radars on the market were measured. The new Varia RearVue 820 is Garmin’s first full update in nearly six years. It shows more information, offers brighter light, supports USB-C charging, provides longer battery life, and offers a longer detection range than before. But is all that worth the hefty price increase and how does it compare to the Wahoo Trackr ?
