Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 missing one health-focused feature

Well, this is odd. The handwashing timer feature is currently absent from the new Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 hardware. Handwashing detection is still a feature in watchOS 27. It also remains a category in Apple Health, including the iOS 27.2 version. Handwashing detection works on Apple Watch Series 11 and Ultra 3, and it’s still included in the watchOS 27 guide. However, Apple’s newest watches aren’t included in the supported hardware list . It’s unclear if that’s an omission or a hardware difference.
